I've tried my best to make my 2015 awesome, and so I'll continue the effort to make 2016 even better! Here's my resolution list (or you can call it a to-do list for 2016 haha):
1. Travel to Japan (again! three years consecutively) - Preferably to Kyoto and Osaka, but an extra short trip to Tokyo again would be great too.
2. Go for Skydiving at New Zealand. - I know I have been raving about it since last year, but it's really someting I wanna do asap before I chickened out lol. Can't find a travel partner though .____. This is probably gonna be a solo travel.
3. Go to the Aquarium! Any big ones will do.
4. Go for more photoshoots, make myself a photobook at the end of the year.
5. More performances! More music jobs! - I made a point to take up more jobs year by year and so far I've done it :D 2016 Ganbarou!
6. Learn Swimming < this one...have been dragging for years, but I'll put it in the list this time
7. Climb the corporate ladder (faster!) and be awesome at work, more money!!
8. Attend Lolita meet-ups, more gatherings
9. Get rid of my studies
10. Take up short courses, maybe on : Tarot reading, cooking, desserts making, wine course.
Thats all for now! I have more in my mind, but not gonna type them all out here.
I know it's kinda late lol, it's already almost towards the end of January 2015 haha. I was really busy with work (quarter closing) throughout the first half of Jan, so busy I don't even know what is sleep. But I just want to make the point to at least write this post, because I have had a nice 2014 (not too nice la but there's still good things for memories), and I'm really looking forward for an awesome 2015!
Anyway a short post on my new year 2015 resolutions!
1. Be more proactive and try to perform as much as I can in all events. Target this year: at least 10.
2. Do a blog post (or blog posts) about my skin care, body care, and wellness routine.
3. Take up swimming class before March.
4. Start preparing for Diploma piano exam starting May/June.
5. Keep up with all my beauty regime: proper skin care (no skips, facial mask 4 times a week); continue doing planks; no skipping on body care; drink health drinks.
6. Drink more water.
7. Do better in vocals.
8. Get a better job (at least one that I would feel happy while working)
9. Visit the hair saloon for 4 times a year, or at least 3 times.
10. Try doing gel nails.
11. Go Japan, and other countries too.
12. Hang out more with band members, and other close friends. 13. Try out more gourmets, and visit the spa more often. 14. Make my 2015 as colourful as possible!
Around the beginning of December last year I received a call from my cousin who was the counsellor of MPSJ to do a band performance for their Serdang Countdown event at Seri Kembangan. After several discussions with our band members, we decided to go perform, but with a slight member change: Rhythm guitarist was Raee (Daniel's friend) and Drummer was Milo (borrowed from Dustin's band).
December was a really scary month for me last year, as half of the month I was occupied with my studies, and after that I went for a trip to Singapore, relatives came over to visit for Comic Fiesta and a 3 days continuous performance to end my year. Looking back it was seriously pretty hectic, I don't even know how the heck I survived. So back to the Countdown performance topic, our band was supposed to perform for a set of 45minutes. My cousin prefers a performance with mix of languages, so we decided to perform 2 english, 2 chinese, and 2 japanese songs for the countdown.

Preparation and Jamming
I couldn't recall how many times we jammed for this performance, maybe at most 3 times, since it's the CrestFall curse lol, we were always pretty rushed for almost everything. The final jamming was the night before the countdown event, which I have to go jamming right after my Christmas busking performance at sunway pyramid (see how messed up my schedule is--i'm copying what David always say haha).
As you can see from the pictures below, I was still wearing my performance outfit, the green mori-styled dress. For the final jamming, my sister decided to come along to listen (if i'm not wrong she joined us for two jamming sessions while we were preparing for the countdown event); and Acap came along to support too~ He went to Sunway to support me and Carlson's christmas busking during the day, and joined our jamming session at night. He even went to the Countdown event that day to support us, thanks soooo much! Carlson joined the jamming session helping us take pictures too~ It was the only session that has so many people joining, the merriest jamming ever.
Discussing some stuff..

Performance day - Before performance
My mum and I went to the venue early in the morning to make sure we got the place right (plus testing out our new GPS). At that time the place was still really empty, and I thought it was just a really small event, nothing to worry about. But after reaching there, I knew I was kinda wrong. There was a huge crowd there, I couldn't even see the end of the crowd from the stage, haha. Apparently the whole street was closed for the event.
We all reached there rather early, but I somehow still felt really rushed. Probably due to the sound engineers being late, so we were unable to do our sound check on time. And when they did came, all other performers wanted to do sound check as well ==. Seriously can't believe that sound engineers could be late for their jobs; and not just that! Their knowledge with the props is seriously speechless--they plug on the cables wrongly ohmygod. And at first they don't even bother about us, trying to ignore us when we asked for help on the sound check. Many problems with the props for example there were no keyboard amps, the guitar amps did not have distortion, no monitors, many many more..i could use another blog post for that lol.
It was pretty much a huge challenge to perform on such a stage where everything is insufficient (even the cables were extremely short so my band members have to be stucked behind haha). I was kinda panic before performing arranging slots to do more sound checks because Daniel realised the problems on the cables, and also thinking how to drag our performance for at least 40 minutes hahaha.
The Crowd:
My parents were in this picture, my cousin too ^^.
View from the stage: you guys don't really get to see this view unless you are a performer lol. And I personally love seeing this from up the stage, sort of my drive to perform ^^
During Performance:
To me, my time on stage always flies by so fast, this time was a little harder because I was seriously working hard on dragging our performance to fulfill the time slot given. The organisers wanted us to perform longer as they have not much performance left for the night, and they wanted the crowd to stay until 12am for the fireworks display. I asked help from the emcees, to chit chat with us during our performance break, and it kinda works lol.
It's really hard to find picture that has all of our band members in it. I've been digging hard from my picture album and gotten a few to show ^^.
There's no me in this picture because I was standing further in front. The stage was really (really) huge BUT the cables were short ==. So you see our band lineup all behind hahaha. And Raee was covered by the smoke, can only see his leg.
One more thing about the performance is the smoke and spotlights. It's really cool since it was my first time performing which those effects and it looks kinda amazing haha, feels like a super star. I couldn't see the audience at all since the smokes were everywhere (but i heard comments from the audience and they said they could see us clearly haha), I guess it's good for people who wants to perform but has stage fright. The spotlights were really hot, but I'm kinda used to it because some other stage has it.
More pictures of us in action:
This was when I was chatting with the emcees (to drag time). We talked many lame stuff, and I feel kinda stupid, but whatever works well works ^^. During the break Joee played To Zanarkand from FFX, and after that the emcee talking session for around 3-4 minutes.
This was the guy who gave me that red flower lol. And I forgot the next line of lyrics hahahaha. but no one realise I guess so it's fine ^^
Song list:
1. Hirano Aya - God Knows : This was cool coz when we started off the audience faces was epic, all like "HUH?" hahaha. I purposely chose Japanese as the first song to give people a shock.)
2. Taylor Swift - Sparks Fly
3. Sun Yanzi - First Day
Break: To Zanarkand (Joee's Solo)
4. ZONE - Secret Base
5. Rainie Yang - Yu Ai
6. Aerosmith - I don't wanna miss a thing
Members:
Lead Guitarist - Daniel
Rhythm Guitarist - Raee
Bassist - Dustin
Keyboardist - Joee
Drummer - Milo
Members playing~
And lastly, me the Vocalist ^^
It was a really great experience for us, and I really hope we could get more chances to perform in future. Thanks for reading such a long post~ Just wanted to write down whatever I could remember for the event, so that I could look back in the future ^^
Whoa..I can't believe this is my first post for 2013, hahaha..To give myself some excuse, I was pretty much very occupied with exams and performance throughout december; and after being so pressed up I was lazying around(too much) during January. Relaxing while thinking my 2013 resolution! For every new year, I would blog about what I felt for the past year and what I think I should do for the new year~ It will be Chinese New Year real soon (1 day later) and this post is still relevant I guess [and I've gotten my exam results few hours ago so my plan for the year becomes clearer].
2013 New Year Resolutions:
1. Start Working
2. Buy myself a car
3. Go for more (more, more and more) photoshoots as possible
4. Start up my music career
5. Blog more (hahaha, I know I get lazy sometimes)
6. Learn up something new, upgrade myself
7. Go to more countries
8. Prepare for my Japan trip
9. Collect enough good pictures to design my personal name card
10. Enjoy life~
Thats all for my year 2013 plan I guess, lol. Would slowly update backdated posts for hapennings in December and January soon. Happy Chinese New Year to all!
Today is the last day of Year 2010. As usual, I will be posting about my year 2010, how I lived through my ups and downs. Since it’s such a special year 2010, I will try to split this long year post into 10 posts, for everyone to view through the entire blog page ^_^.
Index: 1. Brief through the year (this post) 2. Comic Fiesta 2010 3. My 20th Birthday, and sis’s 14th Birthday 4. K-outings 5. Meet-ups with precious friends! ~ 6. Performance and music? 7. Japanese & Bon Odori 2010 8. Fashion and shopping (wink wink) 9. Achievements…(+ failures of course >_<) 10. 2011 Goals and targets!!
Ever since I was 16, I had this fear of passing the year without doing anything that can give meaning and memories to my life. And thanks to these feelings I had, I have been trying my best to live my life to the fullest and I have not been regretting it much ever since. Of course there are some unhappiness throughout, but all of those will be over and my sun will be up again ^^. Who knows maybe my life will end in any second, so my target in life is to not have any regrets no matter when my life is to end.
I can say that I’ve had a really nice year, my lovely 2010, the year of Tiger. My year two and beginning of year three university had been normal as well. Lots of unusual and abnormal people I have met, but I’ve managed to grace through all of the hardships without any major problems. Have nearly failed my Year 2, but god gave me a miracle and helped me to pass them. Will be working harder for my final year, I would love to be able to graduate as soon as possible, and go charge in for my dreams! ~
Took my JLPT N1 exam, which I don’t think I could pass. But I still have to thank my sensei, Nakamura sensei for putting lots of effort in teaching me. I will definitely take the exam again even if I failed. After-all Japanese is still my favourite language to begin with.
My trip to Vietnam with mum is really good as well. I enjoyed eating those delicious foods from Vietnam, and shopping + adventure experience is cool as well. Love the dinner which I get to wear my yukata, if not I won’t get much chance wearing them, haha.
I have to thanks my parents as well for supporting me in my events, as well as the precious gift they gave me on my bday. A big thanks for my lovely friends as well, for taking the effort to have fun with me~. And now to all readers, I shall continue writing the below 9 other posts. A very Happy New Year 2011 to ALL, enjoy your lovely year ahead!
This is my first time attending CF and I gave myself a big challenge by performing 5 songs during CF 2010.
Song List: 1. Suzumiya Haruhi - God Knows 2. Hakuouki 2nd season - Maikaze TV size 3. Durarara!! - Uragiri no Yuuyake TV size 4. Angelic Layer - Ameagari TV size 5. K-ON!! - No! Thank you
All of the songs are fast pace songs except Ameagari, therefore it is quite a challenge for me as I’m better in singing slow songs. I always wanted challenge myself with fast songs that require stamina because I’m more of a rock person than a sentimental one, haha. One big mistake I made was to choose a guy song that is quite low in pitch, should not have done that but I still enjoyed that song. Made some mistakes here and there during the performance as well, will definitely remember my mistakes and will do much better for my next performances.
I’m lucky to have Akiko to spend her entire day with me listening to me practicing for CF. I’m glad that her group cosplay performance went well on that day. Really regretted that I did not stay long during CF, will definitely stay till the end for CF 2011. One thing about this year’s CF is that the venue is way too crowded, there are no spaces in between and everyone has to squeeze with each other. Might be hard for people to enjoy the stage performances and doujin stalls. Nevertheless I’m still glad to be able to perform in such a great event, with the support of my precious family members.
A day before CF was sis and my birthday. I always thought that having the same birth date with my sis is a real blessing, we get to wish each other on the same day, exchange gift and all.. This year we get to celebrate it with our relatives from Ipoh and Singapore.
We had our first celebration on 12am on 17th December, which our parents gave us our first birthday wishes and gifts. We had really great gifts this year, I got a clover leaf diamond necklace and a new ipod classics, while sis got her Xbox and a new handphone. Many other small gifts were given to us, I won’t type them out one by one. Thanks to my 5th aunt for her vampire book and 4th aunt for the angpaos. Gift from friends and teachers were great as well, and I won’t forget about all the birthday wishes from fb and sms. A big thank you for all of you, will definitely not forget this big day of mine.
We had our birthday dinner celebration at night in Grand Dorsett Subang. Nice seafood buffet served, I hope everyone enjoyed their meals. Two cakes were given to sis and I, cheese cake for me while chocolate cake for sis. Had a great time with my aunts, uncle and cousins, and not to forget my lovely Parents who made these entire unforgettable event come true.
To sum up my entire year, my achievements are: 1. 3 performances 2. Finish my Year 2 Uni 3. Went to as much events as I could attend 4. Took JLPT 5. Supported GazettE ^^ 6. Went to the cinema alone 7. Didn’t cause any trouble at uni 8. Shopping spree was a success =_= 9. Recorded many songs and started up my vocal cover blog
Failures: 1. Failed some subjects during the first attempt of my Year 2 finals 2. Did not manage to force myself for sports even though I did thought about it 3. I can’t really think of any more failures, but that doesn’t mean I’m good and all, I just can’t think of it as of now, so just let me get by this time >_<.
1. Perform more than 3 performances 2. Pass my JLPT N1 this time for sure (if I failed) 3. Look up for Amber Chia’s Academy image courses after graduate 4. Try to dye my hair 5. Try to go to the nail parlor for once 6. Go GazettE’s concert tour final in Japan 7. Picnic!! 8. Start up my Japanese Tuition classes 9. Enjoy my trip to UK~ 10. Become a better person ^_^
This ends the longest posts I’ve ever made, 10 blog posts at once for the last day of the year. Happy New Year and a fruitful year ahead!
