Food post: Closing/Ultra Busy Period

My work partner (Kubo-san) and I were actually feeling quite grim before our closing starts, mainly because our closings were always quite horrible, to the point that we only have 1-2 hours of sleep daily for about a week. After that it gets better, but we still need to hang on for about half a month before we could totally get a rest.

So what we did was, to make a point to at least try finding the time to eat relatively decent food to make up our mood lol. Although most of the meals were bought back by my team leader (thank you soooo much!!) because we don't want to waste a second leaving our work. BUT! We did managed to grab some nice food and took an hour break for some of the days so this considered a great improvement for us ^^. And we did survived the HORRIBLE closing yayyy~~

First was at POKC cafe, I think it's supposed to be a Hainanese style cafe, but with some western fusion. Had this with Kubo-san because it was a Monday and the Udon place (Arata) that we wanted to go was closed, and The Pie Thing was closed as well.

Both of us ordered the same thing: Grilled chicken chop with Cheese. It tasted okay on average ^^

Managed to try out the famous Arata Udon the next day!! The Udon here was really good and has the closest taste to Japan, no wonder it's Kubo-san's favourite ^^. The chef here was a Japanese as well.

We ordered some Dashi Tamagoyaki for sharing:

It was good but I prefered the one at Watami. Here comes the star of the night!! Tadaaaaaa Mentaiko Salad Udon!!!! This one was Kubo-san's favourite, and mine too. Udon were cooked just nice and not overcooked, and the mentaiko portion were quite generous hehe.

Most of the days, my team lead Zalman-san helped me and Kubo-san to buy back some food for us, stuff like Mc Donalds, Carls Junior, and Chicken rice shop etc. Some days Kubo-san actually took the trouble to get me great food like this Teriyaki Chicken Omurice from Pasta Zanmai:

The Omurice actually tasted pretty good! especially when you are super busy and thought that you could only eat bad tasting fast food. Thank you soooo much to my partner Kubo-san and team lead Zalman-san for taking the trouble to take care of my meals. I can't thank you guys enough >__<. They actually tried their best to buy foods that I like to increase my appetite and not just cincai buy whatever they could for me. I was seriously touched and am glad that I have such good people in my team (as compared to those from other teams ergh, so noisy and less considerate).

One of the nights atfer my certification meeting, I was feeling really down (to the point I could cry anytime, but I tried my best not to la) and I don't even want to eat anything (note that I actually skipped all meals that day). Kubo-san saw that and asked me out to Nana's Green Tea Cafe; she said that having some desserts could make me feel better and it's better to have some time out of the job. So I did followed her.

Kubo-san ordered something from the new menu, Omurice! But the one she bought for me previously tasted better.

I ordered this! Warm Mentai Cream Soup Udon. It tasted pretty good, and I was glad that it's warm. Was feeling down and cold that time hahaha. True enough I felt much better after the meal.

We both shared a parfait because I don't think I could finish one by myself. I know I've said this repeatedly, but I'm really glad that I have her around. I don't know how she thinks about me, but I'm really grateful because I wouldn't have made it without her (as in emotionally). I was feeling really lonely and depress for quite some time, imagine having trapped in some work that you are forced to handle, and everyone shooting you during a meeting. I really wanted to run away and just breakdown during the certification but I just hang on. I do have friends from other teams and departments, but I was just so busy and I can't spend time with them. I don't want to talk about my feelings too deeply with my family as well. Ergh I feel like crying now while typing this.

Here's a picture of the pretty parfait to stop myself from thinking sad stuffs haha.

I do take some of my meals alone though. And when I do, it has to be great! One of it was KyoChon, the staff gave me free drumstick omggg. The KimChi fried rice at Ko Hyang is better though. Other than that, Chicken at KyoChon is always the best~

I went Menya Musashi for Ramen as well, but forgot to take picture hahaha. Went to Ma Maison for Tonkatsu too!! But forgot to take picture again ahem. Sign of old age???ARGH.

I do remember to take when I was in Watami though! Had my favourite Hotate Butteryaki and Mentai Cheese Tamagoyaki!!!! Great lunch hehehe.

Good food can really clear up my mood! Am going for more food hunting this year. Who wanna join me??

Mum's Birthday Celebration

7-8th November 2014

As usual, I love planning for outings, especially for my family/friends' birthdays. I care about birthdays a lot and I think it's important to spend time with people you love to commemorate the special day to recognise and appreciate their existence.

For mummy's birthday this year, I've took a day off just to spend the day with her, and of course with my sis as well. Plan of the day: Breakfast/Brunch at Jibby & Co; Movie and a nice dinner~

The service at Jibby & Co on my mum's birthday was pretty good! We got a nice sofa seat, and everything went well ^^. Lightings were really good as well yay~

Groupfie of the day:

LOL many have been saying about my 'peace' sign. They are starting to follow my signature pose!!!

We went to watch The Cage, a movie made in Malaysia ^^. It was erm, average. The way they filmed it was rather unique, but still, there's still much room for improvement for Malaysian actors. Well done though!

We booked Nosh Bangsar for dinner at first, but due to the rain and jam, we simply dropped by a nearby restaurant Colliseum for dinner instead. The dinner was pretty lousy by the way. One of the worst I've had in recent months.

Dad's happy face and his sizzling steak:

And the other sad food.

OOTD: Pink top with Denim Overalls + Burberry Bluelabel Furry Leather Tote

The lousy dinner at Colliseum was rather saddening, so we booked a table again the next day at Nosh, to celebrate mum's birthday dinner again~

And it was a great choice, we enjoyed our dinner there a lot. It wasn't overly pricey and the food there was okay. I'm more of a fan of their desserts!

My steak, Medium-Well. I preferred the one at Angus Steakhouse, but this was acceptable.

Dad's fish because he had steak the day before.

Mum and sis ordered the same thing, probably some Aglio Olio spaghetti with Crab meat.

Some photos:

The birthday Mummy.

The Parents.

The sisters. LOL am running out of things to write.

The average tasting dessert haha. I think it was some chocolate with peach or something.

THE. BEST. DESSERTS. EVERRRRRRR. I have to say, this is seriously SERIOUSLYYYYY GOOOD. Name: Valrhona Heaven. And it's seriously heaven.

I don't usually fancy Valrhona chocolates as I'm quite a fan of Godiva, but this one is really good. It's Nosh's star desserts I heard. You guys please go and try, I'm bad at explaining but this one is really worth it!!

Me with the best chocolate desserts in town!

Sis and I enjoying~~

End of the meal. Me + my wine.

Sisters OOTD: Floral dress for my sister; Floral Maxi dress for me ^^.

Just a side story before I end this post, I went for a game with my escape gang before the Nosh celebration dinner. And it was fun! Secret Lab this time hehe, really secret lab with lots of weird organs etc, lol no more spoilers.

And also, Thanks a lot to Melissa for the souvenir from Australia!!! It was sooooo cute!!! My Sebastian~

Halloween Celebration 2014!!

26th October 2014: Halloween Escape

Last year's Halloween celebration was a blast! Even better than my birthday actually to be honest. Celebrated twice with the best people around! First one was Halloween Escape at Shah Alam Wet World with the Escape Gang! Managed to buy the RM28 Early Bird tickets ^^. Was really glad to go on the 26th October (Sunday) as there's less people compared to Saturdays/near halloween and it's drizzling so we didn't really have to queue much.

Ticket comes with free Sakae Sushi coupon! I just realised I forgot to pass them the coupon =___=. But I did not use them myself, still stuck in the pile of papers in my study room ahem.

My OOTD! Super casual for easy movement~ Cap and top from Hard Rock Tokyo.

We had our dinner at this Beef Noodles restaurant in Puteri Puchong. Sadly it was my first time even though I'm from Puchong lolol. Adam really liked the beef noodles and chilli here, and he sweated so much that it was kinda amazing haha.

At the venue before going in!

There were only very few ghost around, and we kind of recognised all of them hahahhaa, new buddies for Adam! But I have to admit that they were much more professional compared to the ones in Sunway Lagoon. The games were quite tough, or perhaps the time given was really little. The main game was really difficult, especially going through the long path of haunted house, quite tiring (and I broke by bag while crawling =___=; was screaming but not coz of the ghost, i was shocked that my bag broke LOL, it's a legend now). We managed to clear 3 out of 4 of the mini games, and failed the final main one. It was rather pressuring to try to think of the clues while getting scared by sudden screams and ghost popping up haha. Nevertheless it was really fun! Would definitely wanna go again next time.

Of course the 'must-buy' blood bag! People who have known me may know that I'm a fan of vampires, so I was kinda enjoying the look of drinking from the blood bag!

We took the trouble to drink our same blood type, to ensure smooth tranfusion. Le selfie with bloog bag!

Adam wanted to drink in a more....fierce and rough way LOL.

Bloog Bag GROUPFIE!!! From Left: Erin, Melissa, Me and Adam.

And now with our new supernatural/ghost friends: **Photos are blurred because it's hard to capture at night**

The grim reaper - The one who rejected Adam few times LOL.

Adam's best friend the chinese giong xi. This Giong Xi is really nice, he knew that we wanted a photo with him but the place he stood was really dark. So when we move to another place queing for the game, he actually walked to us just so that we can take this shot ^^

The prison ghost - we met him while going out after he removed his makeup hahaha. I recognised him!
There isn't much photos because...we were busy playing. Have to make our money worth! I'll definitely want to go again if there's something like this this year. I love my escape gang~

31st October 2014: Nights of fright 2

Went with my lovely band members (some of them).
Prepared some treats for my colleagues and friends this year! And bought this cute pumpkin sweet case to fill my treats hehe. The screaming shocked face was the souvenir from my mum, from Chiang Mai. Told Taro that I'll look like that throughout the event because i'm scared of ghosts haha.

Had dinner at Johnny Rockets!

Passion Fruit Milk Shake. Should have try those normal flavors like Vanilla or choc.

My order, Cheese Corned Beef fries. Shared this with Taro, because the serving was seriously huge.

My OOTD: I was a Neko (cat) that day! Neko Mimi+ Neko Dress+ Neko tights and Neko bag hahaha.

May not be visible but I was wearing a special Neko eyelash bought when I was in Japan. Wonder when will they be available in Malaysia. They were soooo cute!

The Many selfies of Me and Joee!~ Really love her hair color, was purple that time!
Group Photo! 4 CrestFallens and one Joee's friend (sorry forgot your name ><)
From Left: Taro, Me, Carlson, Joee's friend and Joee

OMG THE QUEUE EVERYWHERE WAS SCARYYYYY. So long that we missed some of the nicer haunted houses. But I'm glad I went with them, we chatted all night while waiting and it's still fun hanging out with them ^^

Some photos while waiting for our rides/attractions:

Next time if we are going, we will pick some other days other than Halloween day itself hahaha, too much crowd and so hard to move around! Perhaps going to Halloween escape, since it's so much more fun hehe.

The night parade was quite interesting though, at around 11pm.

The ending of the Halloween Nights of Fright 2.

Lastly a groupfie of us going for our final haunted house: (I love this photo haha, Taro looks interesting getting nearer to the screen lol).
