I've had quite a happening and memorable christmas last year! It was actually quite unexpected as I usually love to over-plan my Xmas and then not going any of it because something always has to come up etc.
Christmas Eve (24.12.2013)
Manage to hangout with EeChing finally!! After like probably 1-2 years of not seeing her lol. It's always hard to find time to meet up with old friends when everyone's having different schedule T__T. We went MidValley to celebrate Christmas Eve together; there's this event where if we posted our photos on instagram with MidValley hashtag we'll get our photos printed. Both of us LOVE photo taking so we've spent most of our time there lol.
Some photos with MidValley Xmas deco~ To be honest I don't quite like xmas deco for midvalley this year, I find past years designs better.
It was really fun asking some passerby to help us take our photos lol.
Instagram version. For some reason I look plump in all the pictures I don't know why. Should have worn the Rosebullet knittop with matching shorts but not really suitable for working sob.
With pink x white short Xmas tree.
EeChing doesn't want Japanese, Korean food so we ended up with Italiannies. There's limited menu for Xmas Eve (only the Xmas Eve menu), and we made the best choice of sharing our food because it was mostly meh.
Turkey something with mashed sweet potatoes and broccoli lol. It tasted below average to the point that we don't even have mood for desserts (our initial plan).
After dinner it's photo taking time again! Our must-do for outings is always Purikura. LINE mascots were the hit during december, and there are so many merchandise in Jusco~ I tried very hard to fight the urge of buying Cony pouch ><, and yeah it worked. But feeling really regret for not getting it. #firstworldproblem.
Le pale me with Cony and Brown pillow.
We sneakishly brought Cony pillow with us into the photo booth as our photo prop lol.
Blushing Cony~~ Love it that purikura has seasonal designs, MeriKuri! Thanks to Xmas we get all our purikura photos softcopy for free using the Puripix app yay~
Seriously what happened to me that day lol, I looked so pale =__= (although Cony looking so blankly happy).
All 6 photos~ Am hoping Malaysia would have more photo booth, am getting a little bored with the same photo designs although they do have seasonal decorations. Anyway, we went home after purikura. Thanks a lot to EeChing for accompanying me until my parents come, so kind! I forgotten to pass her her xmas gift swt, I wish her all the best in her placement~
Christmas Day (25.12.2013)
Nothing much happened on Xmas day due to some reasons I don't wanna speak it out here. Spent the day resting at home relaxing, what more could I ask for lol. But if given the choice I would prefer to hangout somewhere enjoying Xmas, have a nice meal somewhere, shopping etc.
Received Xmas postcard all the way from Santa Village, Finland sent by my mum ^__^. Especially loved the santa stamp.
Bought Xmas cookies for my family and friends~ It was quite pricey but acceptable considering they are all handmade cookies and I Seriously love the designs!! One of the cutest designs I've seen, am looking forward to more cookie designs hehe.
Boxing Day (26.12.2013)
Celebrated Boxing Day with Sayoko at Dining in the Dark, Changkat Bukit Bintang. The dinner was realllyyyyy exciting and I have to say it's really pitch BLACK inside. Thanks a lot to Sayoko for asking her driver to pick me up all the way from my office and sent me home safely so I don't have to worry about my transportation.
The restaurant sign board is not really visible so we couldn't really spot the restaurant even after passing through it like twice.
Small signboard on a busy street.
It was dark even at the reception area. Which explains the blurry photos from Iphone.
We were shown the 'menu' for the day, and asked to play a small game (finding paperclips among beans, blindfolded). There's welcome drinks for each of us, I picked the alcoholic drink (White Russian) while Sayoko picked non-alcoholic (lemonade).
The not-so-informative menu.
Our welcome drinks.
After that we were led to the pitch black dining area by the darkness experts. No photos obviously because it's pitch black, and we were not allowed to bring in anything that emits light. I really love the concept of dining here as there is no handphone allowed, people will have to focus on creating conversations together. It made me appreciate the time being in there with my dining partner.
I won't comment much on the taste because it may taste bland due to the lack of sight, but still it's the experience that counts ^__^. We could have a look at the menu after the meal to reveal what we have ate, and it's so much fun trying to see if our tastebuds were sharp enough lol. On the happier note, we got almost all foods right! Except for the turkey and venison meat (xmas menu).
We got a bookmark each as a souvenir~
I'm praying for a better christmas this year as it's one of my favourite celebrative festivals!~
