Dinner in the Sky Malaysia

Two weeks past since my Dinner in the Sky experience at KL Tower, and I finally have the time to blog about this wonderful dinner. I was having team lunch and team bowling event that afternoon, and then rushed back to dress up for the dinner with my mum.

We went by taxi, and had a special encounter with this taxi driver who was pretty famous [he was the honest taxi driver who spent four hours in Petaling Steet finding the girl who left her phone in his car - I think it was popular in the news and social media]. Being drove around by a famous driver feels quite nice hahaha.

We took this shot once we reached the venue:

29th September 2015, definitely a night to remember :D
We were told to register our names, signed a non-liability letter and then get assigned to a table number. I think mine was seat number 8, a corner seat! Thereafter we get to have some complimentary beverage, we both took apple juice~

Took some photos at this backdrop while waiting for boarding, meanwhile my OOTD was a one-piece from LizLisa 2015 Autumn French Girl collection, and fur clutch from my recent Harajuku Takeshita Dori street travel.

After a while we were called by numbers and get strapped onto the chairs hahahhaa. The safety belts were pretty much secured but it sorta gave the trills since the chairs could turn.

Me getting strapped.

My mum who accompanied me for the dinner.

Crews at work! Chefs were from KL Hilton Hotel and there were some other staffs playing the musics and helped out on the safety briefings.

While waiting for the table to rise (I don't know what else to say haha), selfies! I don't know why, I felt that the selfies taken on land were all better than the ones I took on the sky =____=. Perhaps I was scared of dropping my cam/phone that my hands were shaking.

First course - Watermelon and Roma Tomato Gazpacho, Japanese Cucumber, Pacific Prawns and Extra Virgin Olive Oil Drizzle. This was served when we were lifted up slowly haha.

I was getting rather scared hahaha, but trying to take as much pictures as possible since this will be a lifetime experience etc.

Second course: Carpaccio of Organic Beetroot, King Island Goat Cheese, Toasted Hazelnut and White Balsamic. I personally liked this a lot. Love how well the cheese blending in with the beetroot.

We were not allowed to drop things from the sky, we may get fined or something I'm not sure about that. It took me a while to gather the courage to turn my chair (since i got the corner seat I get the most view), and shift my legs from the leg rest and leave it hanging.

I don't know why I find it super scary when taking this shot hahaha. We had to both turn our seats and I was worried my camera falling from my hands haha.

Petronas Twin Tower!

The other sky diners.

Third Course/Main: Slow Cooked Beef Fillet, Glazed Asparagus, Creamy Potato Mash and Thyme Jus. Loved the mash a lot! The beef is a little too chewy for my liking though.

Desserts: Himalaya Salted Caramel Chocolate Cremeux Tart served with Cocoa Nibs and Mix Berry Coulis. I liked this too! Love salted caramel, but my mum don't like this ><.

I was really glad that the haze condition that night was alright as compared to the other days. Sigh I wonder when this haze thing will be completely over.

My Favourite picture of the night!! It took me quite a while to adjust the angle to see the skyline behind us (since I don't really dare to look at stare behind).

Overall, I enjoyed this dinner a lot, not too much about the food since I've definitely tasted better, but I love trying out new things with my mum and spending time with her. I kinda have fear of heights (I can't stand being in the ferriswheel, cable cars etc although am trying to overcome it), so this dinner was really a whole new experience for me. We got to chat around with the other diners too! I wish we have more of these sorts of stuff coming up in Malaysia, more theme cafes too :D.

Gonna end this post with a picture of KL Tower taken after our dinner. See you guys soon!

39th Bon Odori 2015 Malaysia

The reason why I blog about Bon Odori before AMG is because I haven't fully gotten all stage pictures from AMG yet .____. So whoever took our pictures please do tag us (the band page, my page, or my profile!) Thanks!!

Anyway, I went to Bon Odori with a group of dear friends last Saturday, too bad it's a wet bon odori this year (I heard the rain was heavier last year), but still had loads of fun! It was by far the most enjoyable one I've went~. Huge thanks to CR for picking me up from my house and sending me all the way home after the event. Anyway to avoid the jam we left earlier and reached the stadium around 4pm.

Walked one round looking at the food stalls, and grabbed seats at the stadium. Grabbing seats at the stadium in an early hour seems like a good trick to survive in Bon odori, but please please please remember to grab the middle seats instead of the corner seats because you will be drenched if it's raining. And yes, I was the one talking the most corner seats, and my entire outfit was sooo wet I could even squeeze out water from it lol.

We were smart enough to take tonnes of pictures (selfies!) before the rain ruined my hair it rains though! I'll start with my #OOTD #Yukata for the day. Bought this piece from a Japanese traditional kimono shop in Hokkaido. I really wanted something contrasting from the ones i had previously. My previous yukata was a nice pale yellow with floral prints, and I do have a red arrow pattern hakama. So this time I picked a dark blue one! The Hydrangea (Ajisai) pattern really bought me. I knew I just had to have it after one glance hahaha. Other floral patterns were water lily and some sakura.

Yay full body OOTD shot ^^

After waiting a while, my lovely band mates reached the venue too! Yay to The CrestFall! I'm kinda happy that almost all of us wore yukata, except for Daniel because he was having high fever ><. Half of me being happy that he joined the gathering, but half of me feeling sorry for his health.

Groupfies before the event starts/before it rains~

CR being Potong.

Now no more potong.

My lovely selfies with Joee!! Really miss you! And looking forward to work with you for the following weeks in September!

And of course, after sometime Sacchin and Erin came as well!

We were stucked under the shades for quite sometime, chit chatting about random stuffs and I love it~ It's just fun to hang out with friends and talk about stuffs, forgetting about work/studies =___=, leaving reality hahhaa. CR, Joee and Carlson went for food first, and then me, Sacchin, Erin and Daniel the second batch. But it rained again while we were getting our food...Managed to grab some juice and curry rice though! Although I really wanted my Takoyaki sobs...

This photo was to attract a certain someone for someone :D. I'm great at explaining.

We joined the second round of dance! Here's the stage area, where everyone dances around it.

The dance was fun! Although I'm pretty bad at it lol, took me around 3-4 rounds at least to get whats happening. Adam was super pro at it though!!! He can remember the steps!!

The ME after the dance.

Carlson and I after the dance. I like his yukata!

Quoting Carlson - The Edo pose (him) hahaha.

Big happy family photo!! Yay to all who wore yukata! Less photos with Taro, Taro's gf and Daniel because they did not join the dance. Taro was being all lovey dovey with his girlfriend, and daniel was sick T___T.

I'll end this post with my selfies!! I really enjoyed the day and the time spent with you guys!! Thanks for hanging out together~ We should do this more often hahaha.

My Happy red water balloon to match my outfit~

See ya in my next post!
