Final Love Live 2016 (Live Viewing at GSC Mid Valley)

Still having the FEEELS while typing this T___T. I admit I'm not quite a Love Live (LL) fan at first (my sis was the one started to play the game, and introduced the game to me but I refused to play hahaha). And one day I just started playing, and here I am, a complete LL fan LOL. I quite like some of the songs, and even performed them several times with my band (full band and acoustic). My first cosplay was even Eli from LL!!!~ Seriously can't believe it...

 

Here's some of my cosplay photos from last year's Comic Fiesta 2015 (December), cosplaying Eli - First Live DVD cover version. Please be nice to me, considering this is the first cosplay of my life hahaha. Posting CF photos here because I won't have time to blog about CF lolol. Aoi cosplayed Nozomi, the same version as me, while Sayoko cosplayed Maki school uniform version. Aoi and I will probably be having a LL photoshoot soon yay!!! I definitely wanna get it done by this year :D

Forwarding time to the 1st of April 2016, where I'm preparing myself for Final Love Live concert T_____T. LL means a lot to me as I've seen how it grows every time, and I even cosplayed Eli (that shows how much I love the character). For the live viewing concert, I've decided to use up the nail seal (stickers) that I bought from Tokyo which I initially wanted to just keep and not use them.

 

I've thought of the designs for each and every nail, making sure that the colors matches each characters well :) I'm pretty proud of the results!



 

 

 

I'm soooo happy that GSC Mid Valley's management managed to bring LL live screening to Malaysia! A huge thank you to Chee Ren for helping us buying the tickets, and even exchanging the goodies with strangers just to help us get our favourite characters, really appreciate that~

 

Also a big thank you to AIO, for helping me to buy the S size live tshirt + wrist band :D The quantity were soooo limited and it would be impossible for me to get them myself.

 

Changed the tshirt in a nearby toilet, and ready to go!! YAY!~

"K Missing Kings" - Malaysia Worldwide Premiere

5th July 2014

Sneaked out from my horrible quarter closing to have some fun! There was only one day premiere screening for "K Missing Kings" movie initially (who would have known that due to popularity they actually extended the movie for normal screening =___=; If I had known this I wouldn't have to rush like mad). I'm glad to have went for the premiere screening though, the movie was good and everyone in the hall were anime fans so watching the movie together was pretty fun ^^.

 

I left work around 12pm to have lunch with my colleague from other department; we had dim sum as lunch on that day. I still prefer my favourite dim sum place in puchong. Went to buy Garnett popcorn after lunch. That was my first time buying this 'branded' popcorn hahha, and true enough they tasted really good! And most importantly my sister likes them, purposely bought it for our movie session later.

 

Bought the Chicago Mix for our first try -- Caramel Popcorn+Cheese Popcorn. Gotta try the butter flavoured one next~

 

I went back home to pick up my sis and travelled to MidValley around 3pm. We rushed a little coz we really wanted to get "K" freebies. Just tissue paper and notebook la, but free stuff is always cool. Thanks a lot to Erin for helping us to get the tickets on time, the tickets got sold out pretty fast! After collecting our tickets and freebies, sis and I went to have tea at Pastis Cafe.

Our three-tier tea set. The set was more expensive than TWG tea set, and obviously less quality. Sad la, I think only the creme brulee is okay and quiche being slightly edible T____T. Heart pain spending so much money on this tea set. But this set is still not as bad as the ones I had at Betjeman & Barton, that one was horrifying.

Dearest sister with our movie freebies. Spending time with her just feels great.

After our tea session at Pastis Cafe, we wanted to have something nicer to feel happy, so we went "N" Brew for some liquid nitrogen icecream. Sis was kinda unlucky that day, the flavor she took tasted really sweet and heavy so she sorta having phobia for liquid nitrogen icecream now hahaha.

Mine was nice though! Gula Melacca and Avocado ^^ Very unique indeed.

 

After that we went Ninja Joe to meetup with Sayoko and Erin, they were having dinner there. Obviously sis and I were too full for dinner after all the teas and snacks. And then...it's movie time!!!

 

The first hour of the movie was a refresh about what happened in the first season anime series, which is pretty good coz I've forgotten most of the stuffs hahahaa. And obviously I cried when Suoh died, and I LOVEEEE the Munakata x Suoh scenes. My sis was screaming about the Totsuki Tatara death scene haha. My favourite is still Munakata Reishi, so whenever he's out I'll go fan-girling gao gao.

 

Second half of the movie is about the rest of the guys finding the new king, and also the silver king etc. The movie ended as a clift hanger though!!!!! It was supposed to be the prelude of the new season I guess. Anyway don't want to give too much spoilers here. I would download the movie when I'm free~ Can watch some interesting scenes over and over again (the ninja scene - people who watch the movie will know hehe).

 

C2AGE RAVE 2014

Day 2: 11th May 2014

To be honest I can't remember much about C2AGE this year lol, probably coz I didn't walk around the event. I was spending most of my time practicing with Kaoru and other Harmonia ACG members at some empty area. I have heard a lot about C2age recently (for last year and this), especially about the stage management which I don't wanna speak of them here (feel free to message me if you guys wanna know more in detail lol).

 

I've had a pretty bad experience for my solo performance this time, and FORTUNATELY our duet performance was quite a success so I felt better and trying to forget about what happenned during my solo.

 

Kaoru and I (and Alissa) reached quite early in the morning because we were told that the sound check will start at 8am. BUT! The soundman only reach around 9.15am WTH, and worse the reason he gave us was kinda hard to accept -- having breakfast. We were slightly pissed off because we haven't even had our breakfast yet, and we reached on time because we are responsible people and would never want to cause trouble to the organisers. But obviously the other party doesn't have the same mindset with us.

So some insights on the problems we faced as a performer during the event. Besides the late arrival of the soundman (who don't even feel sorry for being late), their sound engineering and arrangements was a total mess! Okay let me list them down:

 

1. There's no monitor speakers (as usual), and the only speakers available were facing outwards, way in front of the stage blasting outside. So obviously those around the stage and ON the stage could hear a thing. We politely asked to push the speakers behind, and were rejected because they said the vendors complained about the speakers being too loud. I know. It's confusing. Why would you push forward your speakers towards the vendors if they are complaining about the volume being too loud? Won't it be better to push behind so that people around the stage could hear better, and the vendors won't get blasted? I don't know. Ask them.

 

2. The sound engineers keep adjusting all the settings DURING our performances. Our performances thus sounded instable due to all the adjusting. And so I don't know what's the point of having soundchecks.

 

3. The sound engineers told us "We can't guarantee that you guys will be able to hear ANYTHING on stage, so if you guys can't hear, just sing". Apparently they think of us as some genius so perhaps we should  be feeling proud about it.

 

One sad part is that I had to stop my solo performance half way simply because I couldn't hear a single thing. Not the music, not my voice. Luckily the audience seems to understand our difficulties and still supported us nevertheless. Thank you very much.

 

I'm really glad that after all complains and persistency in asking them to push the speakers backwards, they FINALLY did it reluctantly. Therefore we had quite a success in our duet performance! I enjoyed singing "For the first time in Forever" with Kaoru so much, one of the most joyful songs I've ever performed~

This duet performance was one of our best! And our first attempt on Disney songs. Wish we could perform more of these songs real soon~ We worked really hard for this performance, practicing every morning before I start work (Kaoru was working night shift so we practice after she finishes her work and before I start work). I'm really glad that at least our hard work paid off, if we had those speaker issues again I would probably rage.

 

I'll end the post with a video of one of our duet performance on that day. This is the one where we performed "For the first time in forever" from Disney Frozen. I did not upload all performances from C2AGE this time hahaha, and even for AMG this year there's no recording LOL. Actually not just that, I realised most of my performance this year were without recordings hahaha, wonder what happened to me.
