Lolita Photoshoot at Maison de Julietta - Harajuku, Tokyo

Just wanted to share my recent lolita photoshoot from my September Tokyo Trip (okay not so recent actually). I have had this shoot planned around three months before my September trip. After reading reviews from most websites/blogs, I have decided to try out Maison de Julietta Lolita experience photoshoot because they have quite an updated lolita wardrobe with good brands such as BTSSB, AP etc.

 

The staffs were really very friendly! Although speaking with them in Japanese would be better as their English is rather limited. The whole shoot took only about 1.5hours (I sorta speed up the process by using only less than 5minutes to pick my outfit and coordinates LOL, I had someone waiting for me >__>)

 

I picked a dress from BTSSB!!! A must pick brand for me because the dresses were always WAY too expensive for me, feeling happy to wear such a branded dress for photoshoot even though not owning them haha. I handpicked the blouse, socks and shoes to match the whole outfit, and am proud of my selection~ Makeup and hair do is done by the makeup artist from the studio, it took me quite some time to get used to this new look lol. I had to stare at the photos everyday to convince myself that I'm not looking weird. So please try not to laugh at this, and get used to these pictures the way I do hahaha.

 

Here comes the pictures! As all of you know, I'm pretty bad at poses, so just keep it light, the shoot is just for fun :)

 



 

See the hidden Alice Wonderland door? To be honest I did not realise it until after receiving the photos =___=. Really love the prints! Bears, chocolates and Red ribbons~ The mini hat looks super cute too. Why can't money fall from the sky sobs.

Luxurious Purchase

The day before I tendered my resignation letter, I've made the boldest decision to use the pay I've gotten for the past months from my ex-company (most recent resignation) to buy myself a branded bag. And by branded I seriously mean branded branded, no joke. Reason being, I was trying to cut ties with my previous company, and to tell myself that there's no turning back after my decision to resign; I had to move on with my new job, stay and work hard for it because I've spent a fortune (from my POV la) for that bag -- meaning I would be in serious financial crisis if I don't work lol. 

Okay straight to the point, I've bought myself a Prada bag. Which cost around RM8XXX. Seriously the most expensive purchase I've bought for myself (other than the car of course). Not that I don't buy expensive stuff, I do buy cosmetics, splurge on fashion and gadgets, but this one was kinda high up the lead lol. So to be honest my heart does feel the ache (huge one) after the purchase, but I don't feel regret of course, I love the bag too much ^^. 

My Pink Prada Saffiano Leather Top Handle Bag. This was the last unit in the whole Malaysia, kinda lucky that I got it! Really love the rosy pink, not too sharp and overly light colored. Best of all it's Saffiano leather, so there's less likely to have scratch marks (sturdy too!). I guess it's so expensive because every single bag was handmade, and the details inside (embroidery and zips) are kinda amazing and impressive.

I only took like two pictures because I don't really wanna show it to the world lolol. 

Initially I wanted to get a Burberry Lunar Special Edition bag instead, but after seeing the Prada I didn't like the burberry one anymore =_=. Probably it doesn't match with my outfit that day? Anyway since i've already bought it, I'm just gonna feel proud about it, no use feeling regret or telling me that I'm wasting my money, many people got no food to eat, should have donate all my money bla bla bla. I mean, I should be proud of myself for buying this bag using my hard-earned money right? Nobody other than myself has the right to tell me how to spend my own money ^^.

I find this color easily matches with most of my outfits, whether formal, cute style, otona style or even casual. 

Extra note: Few weeks later my mum bought me a Coach Saffiano leather medium tote which i've been using everyday for work and class. My most frequently used bag now! Looks really classy (since it's black in colour) and super sturdy (my bag is usually full of stuff and is extremely heavy). Made me interested in Coach somehow haha, I think the bag seriously worth it's price, not too expensive and good for everyday use ^^. Black matches most of my outfits also. Btw no picture for this bag because you'll most probably see it with me most of the time haha. 

I'm really lucky and happy to have both bags this year~ Anyway reality is reality, am gonna need to work hard to earn and save more money while aiming for something else lol.　Live everyday as if it's the last day! お仕事がんばります！
